Founder | Executive Producer

Co-creator and executive producer of the hit series
Something Borrowed, Something New on TLC and Closet Genius on MSN, Florence Deprez-Wright is an innovator, an imagination unleashed in the dual universe of “advertainment” in Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Her work reflects the fusion of her multicultural creativity and global branding experience. Florence is repped by Josh Pyatt and Justin Ongert at WME and Myman Greenspan.

Fluent in French, English and Japanese, Florence’s international background and relationships keep her in touch with the beating global pulse of the latest consumer trends.

Florence’s career in media began as she hosted a daily show on NHK-TV in Tokyo while still a sociology student at Todai, Tokyo University (where she wrote her masters thesis on the Manga/Anime pop culture phenomenon). After her Master’s curriculum in Sociology and Journalism at Tokyo University, Florence graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters in Japanese Language and Civilization from INALCO Sorbonne University, Paris.

During her 3-year stay in Tokyo, Florence financed her college life modeling for Dior, Comme des Garçons, Nina Ricci and Elle Japan, to name a few. She hosted segments on NHK, Fuji-TV and Asahi TV, and worked with Japanese advertising giant Dentsu, Inc. on international campaigns for POLA cosmetics.

Back in Paris, Florence founded Uptown Productions, a correspondent bureau for international fashion press and broadcast.

As fashion editor and journalist for foreign magazines, she covered Paris Fashion Week, wrote monthly columns on French lifestyle, hosted style segments for Asahi TV and art-directed fashion, beauty and celebrity editorial shoots featured in Figaro Madame Japon, FRau Japan, Marie-Claire Japan, Arena, Mode et Mode, French and Italian Max, Della Novia, Grazzia, l’Officiel and l’Officiel Hommes magazines.

Florence was soon scouted by top ad agencies and Japanese production companies to become a Creative Producer on international ad campaigns for luxury clients such as Shiseido Cosmetics and Suntory Liquors.

TV production came as a natural evolution. Florence created and produced Objects of Desire for Canal + International TV, a half-hour magazine featuring Mythical Brands of Modern Society. That same year, she produced L’Enchanteur (The Wizard) a live action short dedicated to the fight against AIDS. Selected for competition in many international festivals, the short won Best Short Fantasy Film award at Fantasporto ’97.

In 2000, she expanded her experience to feature film production when she joined Blue Vision Media as Producer and Head of International Sales.

Florence relocated to Los Angeles as a celebrity branding consultant for Dentsu Inc. overseeing ad campaigns from concept through production for luxury brands Shiseido and Suntory. For nearly a decade, Florence concentrated her activity on the creative direction and global branding of luxury, beauty, fashion and entertainment.

Today, with Ingeneus Media, Florence focuses on cross-media convergence, creating content for TV, internet and mobile devices including scripted and reality shows, branded content and ad campaigns. Something Borrowed Something New Season 4 TBA.

Born in Paris, Alex moved to Los Angeles as a child. He developed a taste for movies early and started writing and directing short films at the age of 10 using his neighborhood and school friends as cast and crew. Fluent in French, Alex did voice-over work for Miramax Films and hosted Movie Surfer for Disney France, going behind the scenes in the Los Angeles studios.

After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, Alex studied improv at Bang Studio conservatory and appeared in TV commercials including spots for Logitec and Puma.

Having found a genuine liking for the performing arts, he started writing screenplays and directed a short film starring Hopper Penn. The short, entitled Back in the Game, was featured as an exclusive on TMZ, written up in French Elle and other international news outlets.

Along with writing screenplays, Alex is currently creating content for TV and digital platforms both scripted and unscripted. In 2015, Alex signed a deal with Pulse/Lionsgate for 2 reality TV shows.

Above all, Florence combines a refined artistic sense with a brilliant intellect. With her European flair, American network and Japanese sensibility, she is one of those few people with a sixth sense for emerging global trends and values. I am delighted that our long collaboration on Shiseido was so successful.
